What qualification does one need to work in a nursery school if u have no experience?

I have never worked in a nursery school setting, but am interested in doing so. So what qualification do I need to work with children 0 - 5 years old. Can one study and then gain your experience in some way?

Depending on your state you will need a CDA(child development associates) and higher (please google to find out more info). This course runs you through the basics of what you need to know when dealing with children ages 0-5 the producers and policies of the center and places of child development where you desire to be invovled. i hoped this helped some.

    Hi there.
You will need an NVQ in Preschool to do that these days, you can get details at your local college. The NVQ includes work experience, so go for it!
    Good luck, Steve.

It depends on if the program is run by the state or privately as to what criteria they expect from each employee. If you are assisting and it is state run they have more qualifications. You will need to have a clean record because you must pass a fingerprint and background check.
Also, most aides (para-pro’s) must pass a WorkKeys test because of the "No Child Left Behind" Act. Good Luck!

If you have no experience at all I would suggest you attend college at least one day a week, then wither volunteer or work in a setting for the rest of the time. You could do an NVQ level 2 which is work based, but you really need to have some experience to show you have understanding of why you are doing things. This type of course will not teach you anything, it is about you proving your competence.
It is a rewarding job, but tiring and hard at times. If you have never had any experience, it might be worth volunteering for a while to see if it is what you want to do. Good luck
