How can I Advertise my Nursery School in a small town?
I'm living in a small village which is having a 150,000 hose holds and need to re loaunch my existing kindergarted in my village. I need to find out the ways I can Avertise my nursery. My budjet is 3000 USD.
Hmm - pardon why opinion here, but 150,000 households hardly seem a "small" village. I live in a state of Australia called Tasmania which has a population of just over 500,000 all up!
One of the best forms of advertising is word of mouth. If people find value in what you are doing, then they will share this with others.
Other Methods include:
*Newspaper (being a community project, they may well offer you a discount in support of your efforts).
*Flyers/pamphlets can be effective, but make them stand out from the regular "junk-mail" or it will likely be thrown out without any attention.
*You local primary school may well be happy to provide support - many of the children will have a younger sibling of kindergarten age. They could display a poster, or add information to the school's news-letter
*Radio (choose times where families are most likely to be listening, such as mid-morning).
*Talk to your local businesses - many of your future clientèle will work locally, so make these businesses your support base. They may even put up a banner/poster for you on their bulletin board if you can get them on side.
*See if you can get yourself an web page (you may have a friend who can design one for you, or I would be quite happy to give you a hand if you want (for free of course) ). Although this won't be much use in directly advertising your kindergarten, it will act as a means of providing more information to others, and it will give people something they can show their friends/family in "selling" your service.
Let your imagination guide you - some of the most effective means of promoting yourself and your kindergarten are often some of the cheapest, and they will also get you out there amongst the community you are looking to serve

You might want to try flyers or maybe take out an ad in your local newspaper. Good Luck

Town newspaper is read by most in a small town… Also look into the local radio stattion, flyers at the grocery store and word of mouth.

I would try making flyers and maybe put them up at the local supermarkets/gas stations etc and see if that helps.

DO IT FREE. The best way is word of mouth. Go to Coffee. My mom lives in a small town and all the news gets spread during coffee. If the partents arnt there the word will get spread like wild fire through the older generation

Place an ad in your local paper, put flyers up in the local markets, and make sure your nursery school has a large sign out front so people know it's there.

My advise would be to put out flyers at different places of employment, stores, as well as other schools for older children. Flyers are very inexpensive and they get the word around pretty quick. Another good thing to do would be to post something on the internet thats very inexpensive as well, and who doesn't use the internet?

Screen print T-shirts and/or tote bags for existing kidsters and/or parents.
Give free days to parents who refer a set amount of new kids. e.g. Parent refers three full-time enrollees, they receive a free day.
Check with your local Chamber of Commerce, or Welcome Wagon, or whomever might put together Welcome Packages for new people moving into the area. Ask to put a flyer or a business card magnet into the package to let new residents know where you are located, etc.
Schedule an Open House…with refreshments, etc. Allows parents to check out your place with no obligation or pressure.
Good luck!

You can advertise one of the two or a combination.
1.> Find the most busy shops and negotiate with the shop owner to place a 6''x6'' add on the shopfront or at the door glass it will be cheap and attracting.
2.> print a 4x add on an A4 sheet and photocopy that as much as you want and distribute by hand in the mail box out of the house or through the door.
Otherwise you can use all other means like Newspaper add etc but you know those are expensive.

Wow what a big budget. You should start with the Daily Mail or another newspaper, and then you should set up a large banner saying 'open for registration' in your village at different points-eg. near the bus station or the market area where most people are concentrated. You should set at least three days for registration, during which you should give children their name tags and classroom number, this will save time for first day orientation.i would try to make the registration day decorations cheerful but simple.the rest is up to the teacher's own initiatives to communicate well with the parents and the children.

Some churches have a newsletter and for a small fee will take an advert in that. This is mostly read by the older generation who can then inform their family.
In England I would say put an ad in the window of the Post Office- a lot of mums will go there to draw their Child Benefit. Does your local baby/child clinic take ads on the noticeboard? Think about what your potential customer's do and where they particularly go and target them there. Like waiting by the watering hole….

Very few mums have time to read the newspaper, although you might catch them looking at the free ads for baby stuff.

OKAY, THIS ONE WASN'T MENTIONED: I live in a small town, 3,400 residents and the best advertising is supporting a local sport. The city would print your logo and contact on the team shirts and when the team gets in the paper, so does your business. That will also create some word of mouth.
EXAMPLE: What team is your child on? Theresa's Tiny Tots!
