Oh, whether in a mug Or a little china jug, There’s nothing in the world so nice as milk: When you’ve got an appetite It makes your eyes so bright And little cheeks as soft as any silk! I’ve heard it also said, Nothing’s half so good as bread, If hungry you should ever chance to be; The miller grinds the corn, And the baker every morn Bakes crusty loaves to sell to you and me! And if you ever wish For a lovely kind of dish, To set before me on the breakfast-table, A basin and a spoon Some brea

I asked this earlier this morning, but didn’t get any answers (I guess all the parents were getting their Nursery/Kindergarten kids ready for school.)
Thanks for your help!
Im not sure of your question. Are you asking who takes the kids to school when they are in before and after care? I drop my daughter off at Daycare at 6:50 a.m. (School doesnt start until 7:50 a.m.), so our district busses ALL kindergartners to school who dont have parents avail to drop them off. Bus picks her up at daycare at 7:30 a.m., then drops her back off at 2:45 and I pick her up from daycare at 4:30. M-Thursday. I have also worked at daycare centers that transports kids to and from school on their own. The older kids at my daycare walk to school (although my daycare is only 3 blocks from the schools)… does this help?

My wife and I are thinking of establishing a pre-school nursery and we need to know the best practices in this respect.
Thanks for your concern.
Mainly Curriculums and activities that parents would like to have in the nursery.
As far as what? Curriculums? Classroom size? Teacher to Child Ratios?
I'd like to help, but could you be a little more specific?

I really want to be a nursery school teacher but i want to know were to start. what do i need to start studying to become qualified.do i need to be really good at english maths and science? please help i really want to know what i need to be good at and what subjects i should be really concentrating on. Thanks
it really depends on where you live,
go to your local childcare center or collage , i myself am a childcare practitioner , there is courses you can do within a year or two years and you would become fully qualified , i graduated from 2 years of childcare and went on to do a higher level just graduated from that course two years. i loved the courses very interesting.
remember you have to really want to work with children, and put yourself in to collage and childcare.
if i knew what part of the world you lived in, i could help you to get the info.
by the way you just need standard level English , maths and science, if you have a higher level in these subjects it is a great advantage .
good luck in what you decide to do =)

Just wandering what ages as my freinds baby is at nursery and she is only 6 months. Not sure but when is it free for kids to go to nursery and school in the UK?
It depends what type of nursery you are looking at. At the age of three your child is entitled to vouchers for five sessions of nursery care a week. This completely covers the cost of nursery/preschool units attatched to schools and state run nursery care. However, most independant or privately run nurseries will take children as young as three months into childcare. This is where you would send your child if you were returning to work and in this instance you would be charged. For example my two year old goes two mornings a week, 8:30- 1:30 and has his lunch there, this costs me £48 a week, including the cost of the cooked lunch he receives. If you are a single parent in work or a couple both in work then you may be eligible for the childcare element of tax credits which can pay up to 80% of these costs. I dont work, as I am a stay at home mum with other children so we pay this ourselves. When my son is three, if I wish to keep him at this nursery and use his nursery vouchers I will still have to pay a top up, as the vouchers are for five 2 and a half hour sessions, and where he goes the sessions are four hours.
Children begin school normally the term before they turn five, and school is free, unless you choose to privately educate your child, in which case fees vary from school to school. However, even then you will be expected to pay for trips, clubs, usually lunches, possibly transport and other extras. Hope this helps.

My son is two, I figured I would send him to nursery school when he was 4, kindergarten when he was 5, then off to first grade at 6.
My friends are all telling me he needs to go at 3…….? Is that a new thing?
I currently am working full time, and we have a wonderful babysitter that we LOVE and he is around other children everyday. But at what age should he be getting professional schooling?
Generally preschool starts at age 3. Then they have 2 yrs to get into the swing of school and a set schedule. All 3 of mine went to preschool at 3 and then kindergarten at 5 then from there. It worked for us. My son is now 17 so it's not a new thing.
